Seventh grade chorus members, Olivia, Julianna, and Fadima, participated in the Festival for Women's Voices at the Sanford School in Hockessin, DE on Thursday, November 9th. The American Choral Directors' Association sponsored the event which was open to all 7th and 8th grade girls that are members of their school chorus.
These three young ladies took advantage of this opportunity to sing with over 100 7th – 12th grade girls from across the state! The guest conductor was Dr. Duane Cottrell, director of choral activities at the University of Delaware. It was a long day of rehearsals, culminating in a concert for friends and family that evening. Although it was a lot of intense rehearsal time, the girls enjoyed the chance to sing in such a large choir and learn from a college professor!
As their chorus director, I was very proud to take them to the event.
