This week the whole school embarks on our first "Food" Drive of the year. This is an opportunity for our community to learn that food does not always magically appear in our lunch boxes or on our tables. Learning about the hungry and the homeless is not necessarily fun but it is necessary. Please take some time to discuss with your children how to best support this in-gathering for those in need.
Our food drive recipient this fall will be the Neighborhood House. This is a local organization with a location right here in Middletown, next to the firehouse. They provide a variety of services to their clients besides just food and we are glad to partner with them again.
Each class has assigned food items, but do not be limited to those items. Please check the list for what the greater needs are for Neighborhood House.
