What is the Heron Fund?

The Heron Fund is St. Anne’s second-largest revenue source after tuition, and it's essential to our annual operating budget. It bridges the gap between tuition and the full cost of a St. Anne’s education, impacting every aspect of daily life on campus. This vital support helps ensure that each child is known, loved, challenged, and inspired.

By setting tuition intentionally below the full cost of education, we rely on philanthropic support to bridge the gap. The Heron Fund gives families the opportunity to support the school through tax-deductible contributions rather than tuition increases. Every student benefits from these gifts, which allow St. Anne’s to offer more than tuition alone could provide.

What are the Heron Fund gifts used for?

The Heron Fund supports all aspects of educating our students and running the school for this fiscal year. Here are just a few things it helps support:

How do I know how much to give?

We encourage you to make the Heron Fund a priority in your philanthropic giving and contribute as generously as you can. We understand that generosity looks different for everyone, and every gift, regardless of size, has a significant impact and is essential. Contributions range from $5 to $25,000. You can make a one-time gift or set up a recurring donation on our giving page if you are a current parent.

When am I supposed to give?

The Heron Fund contributes directly to our annual operating budget, with donations allocated in the same year they are received. Therefore, giving early in the year (July to December) enables St. Anne’s to seize every opportunity throughout the school year. Early contributions maximize our ability to deliver an exceptional experience for each student this year. The fiscal year runs from July 1st - June 30th.
