Thank you for our successful sock drive!

We are so grateful to our families for supporting the Third and Eighth Grade service project of a sock drive!

Our total of 718 pairs donated this year was higher than last year's count.  Thanks to you we collected 150 pairs for women, 143 pairs for men, and 425 pairs of children's socks.

Nancy Wheeler from the Sunday Breakfast Mission visited our school to thank the students, explain who would receive their donation, and answer any questions.

Our students had many questions!  How big is the Sunday Breakfast Mission?  How did it get its name?  Are there people there every day?  What's it like there?  Can children watch TV?  Do the children have music teachers?  Do people buy stuff?  How old do you have to be to volunteer there?  Mrs. Wheeler answered these questions and many more.  At the end of their time together several eighth graders volunteered to take the socks to her car.

Many thanks to our St. Anne's community!
