Hello Heron Families, I hope you all had an enjoyable Labor Day weekend. I saw some tired eyes this morning but it was nice to see our School buzzing again. I am writing with three pieces of important information: - RUVNA: As many of you experienced, there was an issue with our self-screening tool, Ruvna, this morning. The company experienced a significant outage this morning but the service has been operational as of 9am today. We verbally screened all families during the temperature check in the car line, but the plan is to get back to the online tool tomorrow morning. Thank you for your support and participation. On Friday, we had a 99% completion rate for our self-screening links so our community is actively participating and we are grateful for your cooperation and vigilance.
- CARLINE: While checking temperatures in the mornings, I have been quite appreciative of your patience. You smile and greet us warmly, and I've noticed, as you have, that we want the line to move a bit more quickly. As we mentioned in our virtual coffees, these first few days and weeks would be a time of assessment and adjustment. In an effort to make the drop-off and pick-up process more efficient, this Thursday September 10th, once you pass the brick pillars at the top of the car line circle, you will be directed to one of two lanes.
- The lane on the left will be for families who only have Primary School students (PreSchool, PreK, and Kindergarten - no older siblings), while the right lane will be for all other families.
- Right lane: If you have any child/children in your vehicle who are in grades 1 - 8, please stay in the right lane and pick up/drop off your child(ren). If you also have a Primary School student, you will be directed down the PS driveway once you've picked up/dropped off your older child(ren).
- Left lane: This lane is for families that only pick up/drop off Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten children at the end of the Primary School driveway.
As always, your patience is appreciated as we work through this next iteration of the arrival and dismissal process. - SAES in the NEWS: As many of you know, 6ABC out of Philadelphia was on campus last week to do a story on our outdoor education program. The story ran this morning from 4:00-7:00am and you can view it on their website and ours. Great exposure for our School and kudos all the way around, and especially to Mrs. Wilson who was so instrumental in our pivot to the outdoors.
Thank you for your continued support and please be in touch if you have any questions or thoughts. Regard, Barry |
