Peace March for Justice: July 4, 2020 at 7 pm Dear St. Anne's Community,
Many in our community have expressed interest in opportunities for families to participate in deliberate, anti-racist activities. On Saturday, July 4th, SAES will host a march down our driveway and around the front circle to take a stand against racial injustice. The event will end with the lighting of luminaries around the circle and a prayer led by Chaplain Hanna. We will march in a socially distant manner while wearing masks. The event will begin at 7:00 pm. Logistics will be shared when we know the number of attendees. SAES Moms' Group Next Meeting Friday, June 26th On Friday, June 12th, about 30 SAES moms met in the outdoor classroom to share stories and reflections on how their families are coping in the aftermath of the recent deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor and the light that these incidents have shed on systemic racism in America.
We will meet again this Friday, June 26th at 7-8:30 pm, to specifically discuss racialized incidents that have directly impacted our own families and students. All SAES moms, past and present, are invited to attend. We will wear masks and distance ourselves accordingly.
Here is the Google Meet link for those who prefer to attend virtually. St. Anne's Episcopal School 211 Silver Lake Rd. Middletown, DE 19709 www.StAnnesDE.org
