Connect with SAES Parents
We invite you to personally connect with current St. Anne's Parents to learn about their experience at our school. Ask questions, make connections, and learn first-hand why they have chosen St. Anne's for their child(ren)'s education.
The Morris Family
Hometown: Townsend, DE
Grade(s) of Child(ren): kindergarten
Interests/extracurricular activities of child(ren): karate
About our family: We are a water loving family and enjoy being at the beach, by the pool, or out on a boat. We have also just discovered that we like to hike and are planning more adventures in the near future! We enjoy family movie night at home as well.
Why your family loves St. Anne's: St. Anne’s has been amazing with our son, Kaeden. When schools shut down and were going virtual only, we knew we had to move fast and decided to look at St. Anne’s. This school and its programs were meant for a child like Kaeden, full of energy, life, and the need to learn in other environments outside of the typical classroom. With the outdoor classrooms, small class size, and amazing teachers, Kaeden is thriving and we couldn’t be happier that we chose SAES!

About our family: Our family moved to Middletown 5 years ago. Prior to that, our family has lived in the Syracuse area, the Chicago suburbs and downtown Chicago. We love to spend time outdoors together whether hiking or swimming. We also love to travel, play music, cook, and play tennis. We became a member of the SAES family 3 years ago; our only wish is to have discovered it sooner!
Why your family loves St. Anne's: Our family loves St. Anne's because the teachers and administrators allow the children to learn both independently and collaboratively. They capitalize on their strengths and find creative ways to make gains on their weaknesses. Our children have created their own band, have had virtual dialogues with student counterparts in Spanish speaking countries, have waded in the water behind school for science experiments, and have enjoyed diving deep into literature from Wonder to Fahrenheit 451. These experiences are unique to a St. Anne's education and each year brings new opportunities. Our children have gained so much from their experience here, from increased confidence to lifelong friends, and so much more!

Interests/extracurricular activities of child(ren): Equestrian, Dance (ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop), soccer, basketball, biking, swimming
About our family: We moved here in the Fall of 2017 after spending 10 years in the Boston area. We knew we were done with New England snow. We also wanted to be closer to my family again in PA. Josh is a diagnostic radiologist for Bayhealth, Dover & Milford; Diane is a former clinical embryologist and researcher, now working as a private K-12 tutor and domestic engineer of the household.
Our family enjoys Disney trips, and beach trips to Cape Henlopen, Ocean City, and Assateague Island. We travel to as many water parks as we can find, and we also enjoy spending time with my parents, our dearest friends we've made here, and our furry family members: our mini goldendoodle puppy Katy, and our new large pony, Cookie Dough.
Why your family loves St. Anne's: SAES a small tight-knit community that is genuinely invested in the success of your child. It is an extension of home, and the faculty and staff treat and care for each child, and how they thrive and progress as if they are their own. I enjoy the close personal attention, and the classroom ratios are second to none.
