Welcome to Lower School!
Kindergarten - Grade 4
As elementary and early childhood students walk through the red doors each day, they enter the building filled with excitement and an enthusiasm for learning. Each day our teachers engage students in active and meaningful activities. Lower School teachers use their knowledge of how each child learns best to prepare their students to find their way in our dynamic and challenging academic program.
Our curriculum is designed to build on these skills each year guiding the students to become independent thinkers while fostering a true love for learning. Science, art, music, library, technology, religion, Spanish and physical education classes, taught by specialists, enhance the core academic program across all grade levels.
Our students learn to contribute to our school family as well as the larger global community. Within our warm and nurturing environment, our core values of respect, responsibility, and compassion are taught and modeled each day. Children are encouraged to strive for and attain high levels of achievement, independent thinking, spiritual awareness and most importantly, ethical behavior.
In partnership with parents, we work together to provide a strong foundation for learning and an environment in which students are known and loved. Our program is designed around developmentally appropriate experiences for each child. I invite you to visit our classes and witness the remarkable moments that happen every week at St. Anne's!
