Wasp Update from Mr. Thayer
As we noted a few weeks ago, it has been an unusual month at St. Anne’s for yellow jackets and other wasps. For the first several weeks of school they have been more numerous and aggressive than usual and we have removed and/or treated all of the known nests around the building. We have also set about 20 bait traps near the areas where the wasps have been most active. With the recent cooler temperatures and the hundreds of wasps caught in our traps, we are feeling better about the wasp situation. That said, we know we will need to continue to be cautious until we have had some extended fall and early winter weather.
