General Job Description:

St. Anne’s Episcopal school seeks candidates for the Director of Extended Care and Auxiliary Programming who will add to the racial, cultural, and gender identity of the school community. The best candidates will be energetic, flexible and creative individuals that will bring ideas on the expansion and growth of the program.  Extended Care runs from 7:00-7:30 AM and 3:45 to 6:00PM each school day. Summer programs run a minimum of 4 weeks in the summer with 8 hours each day. This is a 30 hour week position and has benefits.


Job Responsibilities:

Develop the programming, including training and supervising of the extended caregivers. Coordinate the staffing to provide a robust and engaging combination of after school programming and extended care during the school year. Develop the programming, including training and supervision of the summer camp counselors and caregivers. Coordinate the staffing to provide a robust and vibrant summer program of at least four weeks that is ready for promotion and marketing in January for the upcoming summer. Prepare billing for coordination with Business Office procedures.


Job Duties:

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing after school programming during the school year, including the teacher-sponsored clubs as well as the half and full day child care on in-service days      

  • Meet with teachers and other program providers to develop programming that reaches a broad audience of PS - gr. 8 options·        

  • Hire and supervise the support staff to cover the after-school program    

  • Hire, train, and manage the support staff / counselors to cover the camp portion of the summer program      

  • Ensure employees track their hours on the time sheets supplied by the Business Office      

  • Turn in all payroll related documents to Business Office in accordance with published schedule     

  • Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day management of and requisition for snacks, supplies, equipment, and facilities for all after school, in-service activities, and summer camp and related activities       

  • Create and publish promotional materials for extended care, clubs, and summer programming for the communications team to include in our outreach to our community       

  • Organize the registration process for all programs in conjunction with the Business Office        

  • Coordinate all program space needs with the Business Office.

  • Other duties as assigned in support of the school’s mission


Qualifications for the Job:

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree Required

Experience: Three to five years of teaching, camp counselor, and/or management experience


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse community

  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive,

           confidential issues

  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management

  • Knowledge of first aid and CPR training


Key Competencies:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google products

Physical Requirements:

Requires long periods of standing. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
