Spring Concerts: Important Information for All Grades
Posted 04/20/2017 03:20PM

It's that time of year again!  Spring concert dates are rapidly approaching and Mrs. Delong has a few important details to share with all families of St. Anne's:

Preschool - 1st grade:  We are looking forward to our Preschool, Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade Spring Concert on Friday, May 12th at 8:45 AM.   It should last about 30 minutes.

There are no special costumes for this event, so your child may wear a dressy outfit.

2nd - 4th grade:  The concert will be held on Thursday, May 18th 9:00 am and 6:15 pm.

  • Students should report to their homerooms between 5:50 and 6:00 pm for the evening performance.
  • The performance is about 30 minutes.
  • Attendance for the Spring Concert is required for all 2nd – 4th grade students.  Absences must be approved in advance by Mrs. White.

Some Changes in Attire for the 2nd – 4th Grade Spring Concert:

Please note the following changes to our traditional “white tops; dark pants/skirts” attire:

We are asking students in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade to “dress up” for the Spring Concert.  No jeans, t-shirts, or shorts please.

Middle School Chorus and OrchestraThe middle school chorus and orchestra will perform on Thursday, May 18th 9:45 am and 7:00 pm

*(The 2nd – 4th graders will be performing at 9:00 and 6:15.  There will be a brief intermission in between LS and MS.)

Attendance at the spring concert is a requirement for all chorus and orchestra students.  Any absences must be approved in advance by Mrs. Reilly.

Some changes in attire for the MS spring concert:

Please note the following changes to our traditional “white tops; dark pants/skirts” attire:

MS Orchestra:

  • Orchestra students should wear a solid-colored, collared top.  No t-shirts please.
  • Orchestra students should wear jeans (No shorts or capris).  The jeans should not have any holes.
  • Students may wear sneakers.

MS Chorus:  We are doing songs about “Peace and Love” including a couple of songs from the 60s/70s; therefore the attire has been changed to reflect this theme:

  • Chorus students will receive a tie-dye shirt (on loan from the drama department) to wear for the concert.  They will need to return this shirt at the end of the concert.  They can either wear the tie-dye shirt over another shirt or change in the locker room.
  • Chorus students should wear jeans (No shorts or capris).  The jeans should not have any holes.
  • Students may wear sneakers.
  • If a student is in chorus and orchestra, they should bring a solid-colored, collared top to change into for the band portion of the concert.

Professional Videography will once again be provided by OK Video.  This is a wonderful service at a very reasonable cost.  The school will also be sending home a hard copy of the flyer.
